Frederick announces 2008 event

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Richmond, Virginia (January 14, 2008) -- Delegate Jeff Frederick announced that Monday, February 18, 2008 will be “52nd District Constituent Day in Richmond”. He and his wife Amy will host the fourth annual event for constituents of his district to come to Richmond during session.

“The events over the past three years were such successes, we wanted to be sure to continue this annual affair for the people of Woodbridge, Dumfries, Quantico, Triangle, Montclair, and Manassas to have a designated day just for them to come to Richmond, meet with their representative in state government, and see the legislative process at work first hand,” Delegate Frederick said. “Of course, our door is always open and constituents are welcome to visit anytime, but designating a special day and program for doing so will hopefully encourage people to come to Richmond that wouldn't normally otherwise visit.”

Frederick's office has planned for those participating a welcome reception; an opportunity to meet with Frederick and statewide legislative leaders; a guided tour of Virginia's historical Capitol; and gallery seating in the House of Delegates chamber to watch that day's proceedings. This year's Capitol tour will be especially exciting given the building's restoration just recently completed.

Delegate Frederick stated: “This office belongs to the people of the 52nd district, so I'm glad we were able to again put together a program for folks to come and see their home in state government.”
